Join us for a relaxed and creative 4 hour workshop session to learn the unusual art of seaweed pressing. Gem, @thedriftweedartist will walk with you down to our local beach and talk you through the process of foraging for different types of seaweed sustainably.  Back at the workshop and after some refreshments, she will take you through the basic skills needed to support you in creating your very first seaweed pressings. 

Workshops are limited to 8 people and you will go home armed with your very own seaweed press full of new pressings, equipped with the knowledge of how to continue the pressing process at home.

Seaweed pressing instruction sheet
Your own wooden seaweed press to take home

What to wear:
We will spend part of the session foraging together on the nearby beach. Please familiarise yourself with the weather report for that day and ensure you are wearing suitable clothing and footwear. Beach shoes or wellie boots are advised. 
We will endeavour to go out whatever the weather - in the event of extreme weather I will provide ample specimens for you to experiment with and we will complete the foraging talk indoors. 

Children from age 8 are welcome but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
