8 Week Day Leisure Course -  2024
Start Date: Monday 13th May - 8th July (2 week break for half term 27th May and 3rd June)
Hours: 9am - 3pm 
 
Bring your own project to our 8 week upholstery leisure course. You will work at your own pace in a relaxed and friendly learning environment, developing a whole range of upholstery skills and gaining a great insight to this amazing trade. 
 
This course is suitable for beginners or those with previous upholstery experience.We encourage beginners to start with a dining chair, footstool or something small but the decision is yours. You are also invited to work on a variety of projects or just tackle one. 
 
Whether your chosen item is a prized family heirloom or a recent vintage find, you will learn how to completely reupholster it in a fabric of your choice. If you don’t have a project in mind we can help you source something and are always on hand to give design and fabric inspiration. 
 
The skills you can expect to learn are:
 
Complete stripping down of your piece of furniture
Basic woodwork skills, cleaning wood, glueing joints, filling holes. 
Traditional upholstery including springs, stuffing, stitching
Modern upholstery skills, cutting foam and sewing.
 
The course is 8 weeks and is at a rate of £810. Please note that we have had to raise the cost of this course since registering for VAT and so it runs at the previous price of £675 ex VAT. This £120 deposit will be deducted off your final bill. You can either pay in full 2 weeks before the course starts, or in two installments.

First payment of £345 due on: May 13th 2024
Second installment of £345 due on: June 17th 2024
 
We provide all the equipment you will need and can store your furniture at our workshop. Materials used will be invoiced at the end of each month and we are offering a 10% discount on all fabric purchased through us.
